SAE stands for Supervised Agricultural Experience.
An SAE is a structured experiential and work-based learning opportunity in school-based agriculture, food, and natural resources program to extend beyond the classroom that takes place in a setting outside of regular school hours in order to develop an individual student’s industry and career-based competencies.
Each student is required to have an SAE within each course, regardless of pathway. They will work on it throughout the semester and will end by giving a presentation to the class about their SAE. There will be class time given throughout the semester where they can check in on their progress.
