Please avoid purchasing cheap plastic, colored recorders from discount stores such as the Dollar Store, Walmart, Costco, etc… From our teaching experience, the instruments found in these stores are often lower quality and will not be able to play the notes needed for music class. If you have any further questions or concerns about getting a recorder for your child, please email kbramlett@greenville.k12.sc.us or call 864-355-3776.
Below is a copy of the music for students to use to practice earning their different recorder belts ranging from white belt all the way to black belt.
Students will be guided through strategies on how to practice the songs in class time as well as the notes to learn for them to master playing their first wind instrument. During class time each week, students will be given the opportunity to perform the song they are working on for the class to try to earn the belt that goes with that song.
