This will be my 20th year at Mauldin Elementary. I have found my home in the library and love helping our students find books that they will love to read!!
John and I have been married for almost 32 years. Our boys both attended Mauldin Elementary and are both graduates of Clemson University.
When I am not at school, I enjoy reading and attending author events, photography, Clemson Tiger sports and visiting waterfalls.
I am so excited to be at Mauldin Elementary again this year. This will be my 31st year of teaching. I began teaching 5th grade and Reading Recovery in Georgia and have been in the library for the last 18 years. I graduated from Clemson University with my BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I, then, earned my Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Technology (School Library Media) at the University of Georgia.
Family: My husband, Chris, is a retired firefighter and GCSD substitute and the reason I moved to Greenville. I have 2 daughters. My oldest daughter works with the GCSO and my youngest is in college.
We have 3 dogs (Vivian, a beagle and Patsy and Bo, bassett hounds); 2 cats (Pippen and Cosmo); many beehives, 11 chickens and 1 rooster.
When I'm not at school, I love working in my garden, reading, spending time with family, and taking care of our many animals.
