At the Middle School level, students will learn mathematical content and concepts across different modules which will require them to apply basic mathematical knowledge and computational skills to solve mathematical problems.
Critical thinking is an integral aspect to students mathematical development and so they will come across topics that require high order thinking especially questions from the Carnegie Book that will have them participate in meaningful thinking and discussions during the teaching and learning process.
Students will also need to apply their own experiences from their daily life to help them apply as well as solve real life situations. Different subject disciplines will be integrated into Math lessons so students can learn to appreciate the subject more and understand its relevance to life overall.
Carnegie Learning Book used by Grade 7 students.
Students will complete workspaces related to Modules in Mathia .
A fair grading system is used across all levels.
