Meet Mrs. Massingill

About Mrs. Massingill

Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Mrs. Susan Massingill, and I can't wait to spend this year with you. This is my fifth year as a teacher at Hollis Academy. I have taught in Greenville County Schools for 14 years. I have taught second grade, third grade, and have served as the reading interventionist for K5 and First Grade. I love teaching second grade and all the fun and exciting field trips we get to go on. We are planning to visit the Children's Museum, Paris Mountain, and Roper Mountain. I am so excited about taking this adventure with you. I know you will love it too!

I received my undergraduate degree in Audiology and speech Pathology from the University of Tennessee. I received my masters in Elementary Education from Converse College. I am highly qualified to teach in South Carolina.

I live in Greenville with my husband, Brian, my son, George (14) and out daughter Eleanor (11). We also have a golden retriever named Lilly. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I can't wait to spend the next with year you and your child. Second grade is a big learning year! I am so excited about taking this adventure with you.

I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you may have throughout the year. I can reached at school at 355-4800 or smassing@greenville.k12.sc.us. I will return messages and emails as promptly as I can.
