I am a true southern girl. I have lived in the south for the majority of my life (I lived in Carmel, Indiana for 2 years). I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and my masters degree in Literacy Education from Clemson University. My blood runs orange, Go Tigers! I dated my husband throughout high school and college and we got married in 2012. Stephen and I have an eight year old boy and a four year old little girl. Our eight year old’s name is Marshall; he loves Clemson and the Atlanta Braves. He likes playing with anything that moves; specifically tractors and trains and he is in third grade at Rudolph Gordon. Our little girl’s name is Hattie. Hattie loves baby dolls and she is starting preschool this year. We also have a Cavapoo named Teddy and he is two years old. I am a product of Greenville County Schools so I truly believe this district is one of the best!

This year will be my twelfth year teaching in Greenville County; my sixth at Rudolph Gordon. Teaching young children is one of my passions! Each child is a gift and has such wonderful things to offer. I love watching the children grow and develop over the year. First grade is a year of huge social, emotional and academic growth. You will be amazed at how your child will blossom!

I count it an honor and a privilege to begin this journey with you and your child. Throughout the year we will become family. We will laugh together. We will share highs and lows. We will be partners. But, the strongest bond we will have is caring for your most beloved treasure-your child. Thank you for sharing your greatest gift with me! I can’t wait to begin the year with each of you! It’s going to be a FABULOUS year in first grade!
