About Me

My name is Matt Phillips, and I started my teaching journey in December of 2010.

In 2016, I was honored with being named Teacher of the Year for Blue Ridge High School. Also, I was selected as one of the top ten finalists for Greenville County Schools. Afterward, I served on the Teacher Forum for two years. I was also selected Teacher of the Year for the GCSVP High School during the 2023-2024 school year- it was an honor to be selected!

I earned my undergraduate at USC Upstate in Biology with a concentration in Secondary Education. I also have my certification in general science and gifted and talented endorsement.

My hobbies include cooking, gardening, video games, and traveling.
