I'm Lyn Horton, and this is my third year teaching at Southside High!

I've grown up in Greenville County Schools and graduated from J. L. Mann in 2018, then studied at Winthrop University in Rock Hill. Thanks to the wonderful English and education programs there, I graduated with a Bachelor's in English with minors in creative writing and educational studies, and later earned a Master of Arts in Teaching.

I am one of three incredibly lucky English 1 teachers that have the opportunity to welcome freshmen to Southside, and I am also one of the sponsors for our school's TTRPG club. If you are interested in D&D, come talk to me!!

I'm super excited to be apart of the SHS family and work with the awesome students here! I know it'll be another great year, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.
