Spanish 4H

Course Description

This course is designed to help students function at beginning levels of advanced language proficiency. It is intended to be a precursor for the Advanced Placement Spanish Language & Culture course and/or for college-level Spanish classes. Consistent with the SC state framework for modern language, emphasis will be placed on holistic communication, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the target language. Units will build upon the students’ prior grammatical knowledge to make interdisciplinary connections, develop cultural awareness, draw comparisons between language and cultures, and learn to use the target language within our school community and the broader regional and global communities.
