This course is a study of living things. Throughout the year, the class will conduct a scientific study of the structure and function of living organisms and their ecological relationships. Their study will develop from the cellular level, through tissues, organs, and body systems. The students will cross curricula when using math and writing skills to explore the world of science. Units covered during this term include: lab safety, matter and its interactions, energy, molecules to organisms, ecosystems, and Earth and human activity.Â
