Behavior management strategies are incorporated based on an individual needs and in accordance with behavior intervention plans as needed. We incorporate "first/then" strategies to reinforce behaviors and provide structure throughout the day.
We have a new Social Emotional Curriculum this year using Whole Body Listening and Social Thinking. We incorporate these principals and strategies throughout the day.
We also use a sticker chart token system to reinforce positive behaviors and students can earn the treasure box when they fill up their chart.
If a situation arises that needs parent attention, the teacher will contact the parent promptly by phone call or email depending on the nature of the incident.
Students with specific behavior plans (Behavior Support Plans, Crisis Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans) are also followed according to individual specifications. Progress noted and reports will be reported in accordance to IEP.
