About Me

I thoroughly enjoy teaching!  I am so excited to work with your child! I have worked with individuals with disabilities and their families from infancy through adulthood. Building a strong rapport with my students and their families is very important to me. I am a lifelong learner and have earned three degrees focusing on Special Education, with my last degree a Ph.D.

This is my 6th year that I am teaching in the Greenville County School System. I am so excited to begin our 2023-2024 school year as a Special Education Teacher, Primary Multi.-Cat. at Lake Forest Elementary School. My first, two years I was a Resource Teacher at Lake Forest Elementary School. My third year, I was a Multi.-Cat., Special Education Teacher in the K8 Virtual School. My fourth and fifth year, I was a Special Education Teacher, Primary Multi.-Cat. (K-2), at Lake Forest Elementary School.

I grew up in New York, not far from the Atlantic Ocean, spending a lot of time surfing in the ocean. I have lived most of my professional life in the South and really enjoy the Carolinas! Kayaking, swimming, hiking, birding, cycling, camping, and photography help me to relax.

I am very passionate about teaching. What makes my day is knowing at the end of the day that I have made a difference in the day of each of my students.

We are a TEAM to: Use our "flexible brain" to have fun learning!
