Class Description:

Students served in the class have been given a psycho-educational evaluation and are meeting criteria for special education support services. Instruction is based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) . IEPs are developed annually by a team that consists of parents, general education teacher, administrator, and any other individual that provides services to the student (speech therapist, occupational therapist, school psychologist).


Course Content:

Due to the different needs of the students, a variety of instructional practices will be used. These practices include:


Whole class instruction

Small group instruction

Individualized instruction


Assessment:

Students will be assessed formally and informally periodically.
