RTI is part of our school's Multiple-tiered System of
Supports. MTSS comprises a framework of matching tiers of supports to students’ variety of needs to support the whole child.
Within this framework, students’ needs are identified based on reliable and valid assessment tools, supported through evidence-based core instruction and intervention supports.
Students identified for RTI support are taught in small groups and provided specialized instruction to help them develop phonemic awareness and reading strategies which are designed to strengthen their reading ability.

GOAL AREA 1 – Performance Goal 2
Action Plan for Strategy #1: Ensure all students have the skills and supports necessary to be reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade.
4. Offer varying levels of support through scaffolding, intervention, and remediation for struggling students to ensure mastery of critical literacy skills for success while maintaining high achievement expectations for all students.
