This is my 26th year teaching English, and I've been lucky enough to call Eastside my home for all of these years. I began my teaching career after graduating from Clemson University, earning my undergraduate degree in English Education. A few years later, I earned my Master's degree in English Education at Southern Wesleyan University, and in 2006, I completed my certification as a National Board Certified Teacher. While my education has undoubtedly given me a great deal of wisdom and expertise in teaching, my hands-on experiences with students throughout the years have taught me more than anything else and have truly shaped me as a teacher.
When I'm not at Eastside, I can be found hanging out with my family and enjoying the things I love. My husband and I have been blessed with two wonderful children, and we usually spend the majority of our time enjoying the outdoors and bonding with our four dogs. I love to stay active and find myself either running, cycling, swimming, walking, and/or doing yoga just about every day. I'm also an avid reader and usually have 2-3 books going at a time. It probably comes as no surprise that I'm a diehard Clemson Tigers fan and love the color orange!
