It is my pleasure to teach AP English Literature and Composition and English III-American Lit this year. While I have an absolute love for teaching both of these courses and have done so for a number of years, what I enjoy most is getting to work with each unique group of students each semester. With that in mind, in the 25 years that I have been teaching, I have worked hard to develop and refine curricular approaches that are both meaningful and challenging for all learners. Additionally, I’ve been working around the clock to learn new and innovative ways to get my students engaged and excited about learning. My goals throughout the course of each semester include: inspiring deep personal connections with the texts under study, fostering independent thinking and analysis, and motivating students to become lifelong readers and respectable writers. In conjunction with these goals, I strive to nurture an environment of open communication with my students and their parents, and hopefully, this website will help facilitate that process.
Please feel free to contact me at any time. While I am available by phone before or after school, email is the most efficient way to communicate with me.
Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Theresa Lordemann, M.A, NBCT
Eastside Eagle Teacher since 2000
