Meet Your Teachers

Hello, My name is Mrs. Long. I am so excited to be your child's First Grade teacher this year! We are going to have so much fun together and learn so many new things. I am so honored to have the opportunity to be a part of your child's educational journey!

Education

 I received my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from USC Upstate. This will be my 6th year teaching and my 3rd year at Simpsonville Elementary School.

About Me

I was raised in Greenville, SC and moved to Charleston, SC in 2010. After spending 13 years in Charleston, my husband and I moved back upstate to Simpsonville, SC with our son Braylan, 11 and our weenie dog, Olive, who is 12.  Braylan is in the 6th grade at Hillcrest Middle School! We love being with family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and hanging out on the ball field watching Braylan play baseball. I also enjoy drinking coffee and bubble tea, shopping, doing arts and crafts, and binging a good Netflix series.

I can't wait to get to know your child this school year and embark on this fun adventure that is First Grade!
