Renaissance
The mission of Berea High's Renaissance program is to incentivize positive student behaviors (e.g., academic, attendance, behavior) through a series of rewards and/or prizes throughout the academic year and to recognize the hard work of staff members who improve and better Berea High School.
Monthly Incentives and Celebrations:
September - Attendance
Students with no unexcused absences in the first month of school will receive an ice cream party.
October - Tardies
Students with no unexcused tardies in the second month of school get to trick-or-treat at lunch.
November - Behavior
Students with no OSS or ISS in the first three months of school get sweet treats at lunch.
January - EOC Exams
Students that passed an EOC exam first semester are treated to a pizza lunch.
February - Renaissance Rally
Students on the Platinum (all As), Gold (all As and Bs), and Green (all As, Bs, & Cs) lists are invited to attend. All qualifying students met academic expectations, behavior expectations, and attendance expectations during 1st semester.
March - Attendance
Students with no unexcused absences in the first two months of second semester get popsicles at lunch.
April - Renaissance Block Party
Students on the Platinum (all As), Gold (all As and Bs), and Green (all As, Bs, & Cs) lists are invited to attend. All qualifying students met academic expectations, behavior expectations, and attendance expectations during 3rd quarter.
May - EOC Exams
Students that passed an EOC exam second semester are treated to a pizza lunch.
Students & Teacher of the Month:
Each month, teachers vote for Students of the Month and students vote for Teacher of the Month. The winners are treated to lunch, provided custom-made Berea High water bottles, showcased on bulletin boards, and presented with a certificate of achievement.
