About Me

Welcome to my teacher website! I am a native of Seneca, South Carolina and was active in the Seneca High School choral program. I attended Furman University, where I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. While at Furman, I completed my student teaching assignment with Mr. Bruce McIntyre, former choral director at Blue Ridge High School. I then went on to Boston University to pursue a Master's degree in Vocal Performance. While living and studying in Boston, I performed with the Boston University Opera, the Lyricora chorus, Copley Singers, and various other ensembles and companies. I also taught private voice lessons to middle and high school students. In 2011, I moved back to South Carolina and began my teaching career at Mid-Carolina Middle School in Prosperity, SC as choral director. From 2013-2019, I was the Director of Choirs at Blue Ridge High School in Greer, SC. I am a member of NAFME, SCMEA, and ACDA. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as Choral Director at Mauldin High School! I currently live in Simpsonville with my husband Mike, our 1-year-old blessing, Lydia, and our beloved cats.
