I am glad you logged on to check out our site. As you may know, I play a double role, parent and teacher. My older son graduated from Hillcrest High in 2011, and my younger son graduated from Hillcrest High in 2014. My older son graduated from Anderson University in May 2015 and majored in secondary math education. My younger son graduated from Francis Marion University in December 2017 and majored in elementary education.

I am beginning my 23rd year at Bryson Elementary. I graduated from USC-S in December of 1992. I finished out that school year substituting. I began teaching full time in Greenville County in December of 1993 at Hughes Middle School. There I taught Language Arts and Literature to 7th graders for 2 years. In 1995, I transferred to Woodmont Middle School. I taught four average classes of 7th grade math, one class of pre-algebra, and one class of literature. I spent three years teaching 7th graders at WMS. In 1998, I transferred to Bryson Elementary to teach all subjects to fifth graders. In February 2008, I completed my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I am married and have two sons, Brandon (28) and Hampton (25). My husband, Keith, works for BMW.

I took Tae Kwon Do from Huggins Tae Kwon Do in Mauldin. Brandon, Hampton, and I achieved the rank 2nd degree black belts. Brandon graduated from Anderson University in May 2015. He is working at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, NC where he teaches math and is the assistant wrestling coach. Brandon got married on July 17, 2015 to Ashleigh Brooks. Ashleigh is a doctor and completing her residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hampton graduated from Francis Marion University in December 2017. He is working at H. E. Corley Elementary School in Irmo teaching fifth graders. Hampton got married on July 6, 2018 to Kate Strickland. Kate is teaching art at Dutch Fork Elementary in Irmo, South Carolina.

Brandon and Ashleigh have two dogs, Dolly and Rosie.

Hampton and Kate have a cat, Pepper.
