Hello!
I am Ms. Lagette Holmes Kennedy. Welcome!
This will be my twenty-third year of teaching of which fourteen were in mathematics and the last seven years as a PLTW (Project Lead the Way) teacher. Along the way, I have earned four college degrees: a B.S. in Chemistry from Clemson University; A.S. in Biotechnology/Biomedical from Massachusetts Bay Community College; M.S. in Elementary Education with a focus in Urban Education from Wheelock College/Boston University; and an Ed.S. in Supervision/Leadership with the focus in Secondary Principal-ship from Converse College. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in the field of STEM education at the University of South Carolina.
I have four beautiful children, Jasmine (29); son-in-law Samson (30); Nia(23); and my son Isaiah (20). I am also a grandmother to two beautiful baby boys, named SJ and Lamier. To add to the bunch, I also have three dogs: Sergeant the bulldog, Sophie the chihuahua mix, and Charlie the poodle.
My greatest desire as a teacher is to inspire my students to go and explore the world through the eyes of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and make a positive impact on society.
