WELCOME!
I am Mrs. Lagette Holmes Murphy, formally Ms. Kennedy.Â
This will be my twenty-sixth year of teaching, of which fourteen were in mathematics and the last nine years as a PLTW (Project Lead the Way) teacher. Along the way, I have earned four college degrees: a B.S. in Chemistry from Clemson University; an A.S. in Biotechnology/Biomedical from Massachusetts Bay Community College; an M.S. in Elementary Education with a focus in Urban Education from Wheelock College/Boston University; and an Ed.S. in Supervision/Leadership with a focus in Secondary Principal-ship from Converse College. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in the field of STEM education at the University of South Carolina.
I have four beautiful children. I am also a grandmother to four handsome baby boys and two beautiful granddaughters.
My greatest desire as a teacher is to inspire my students to go and explore the world through the eyes of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and make a positive impact on society.
