This will be my 35th year in education. I graduated from the University of Georgia and began my career in Athens, GA teaching middle school English and social studies. After moving to Greenville, I was hired to teach 5th grade, which I enjoyed for thirteen years. In 2010, I continued my education to earn a Master's in Reading/Literacy with a focus on ESOL instruction from Clemson University. This will be my 12th year teaching multi-lingual learners in Greenville County. I am also endorsed to teach Gifted and Talented students. I am excited to be a Pelham Road Elementary All Star!
My family moved from Athens, Georgia to Greenville, which has been home for 26 years. We love it here! Both of our children are married and live in Greenville County. We love college football, and our loyalties are divided three ways, as our children graduated from the University of South Carolina and Clemson. We have an adorable granddaughter who will be one year old this November!
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. My favorite place to be is on the beach with a good book! I also enjoy traveling.
Let's have a great year building on English language skills with fun activities in our school community! I look forward to working with our multilingual learners this year😊
