Get to know Mrs. Greenway

This will be my 33rd year in education.  I graduated from the University of Georgia and began my career in Athens, GA teaching middle school English and social studies.  After moving to Greenville, I was hired to teach 5th grade, which I enjoyed for thirteen years.  In 2010, I continued my education to earn a Master's in Reading/Literacy with a focus on ESOL from Clemson University.  This will be my 10th year teaching multi-lingual learners in Greenville County, and my 3rd year at Grove Elementary - Go Eagles!  I am also endorsed to teach Gifted and Talented students.

My family moved from Athens, Georgia to Greenville, which has been home for 25 years.  We love it here!  Both of our children are married and live in Greenville County.  We love college football, and our loyalties are divided three ways, as our children graduated from the University of South Carolina and Clemson.  Our only "child" at home is our rescue dog, Dooley, who is 14 years old.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.  My favorite place to be is on the beach with a good book!

Let's have a great year building on English language skills with fun activities in our school community!  I look forward to co-teaching with some fabulous 5th grade teachers this year😊
