I was born in Travelers Rest and spent most of my childhood and teen years running around TR and Blue Ridge. I graduated from Blue Ridge in 1989 and went to Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky., where I met my incredible wife. I worked in retail from 1993 to 2011, eventually managing drug stores for the two largest chains in the US. I finally admitted to myself that I hated retail and went back to school in 2012 to get my teaching degree and my Masters. I have been at Northwest Middle School since February 2015 in various roles, and I love it here. I have four children, ages 21-31, and a house and yard full of dogs, cats, and chickens. My wife, my oldest son, and I are all teachers and we love it!
