Rising 6th Grade Information:
6th grade related arts course descriptions and course offerings are located below.
Fifth grade teachers will recommend students for 6th grade academic classes. All 6th graders are placed in Social Studies 6 and Science 6. English & Math are leveled based on students' current classes and academic performance. Students may be placed in GT English 6 (if they are currently in Challenge) or English 6. Students may be placed in Math 6 or Math 6/7.
Students will “accept” these recommendations and choose electives as well as alternates during registration at their elementary school February 24-28, 2025.
Course request letters will be sent home with students at the end of March for parents to sign and return to their elementary school. These will list the courses your student has requested; this letter is not a finalized list of classes your student will take next year. We do our best to accommodate all requests, however, due to various scheduling conflicts, students may need to be placed in the alternate classes they select during registration.
Rising 7th and 8th Grade Information:
Rising 7th and 8th grade related arts course descriptions and course offerings are located below.
6th and 7th grade teachers have recommended students for 7th and 8th grade classes.
7th grade students participated in registration February 11th-13th where they requested their related art classes.
6th grade students participated in registration February 18th-20th where they requested their related art classes.

Rising 9th Grade Information
Eighth grade teachers will recommend students for 9th grade classes.
Students will fill out a registration card during their science class February 18th-20th. During this session, students will be able to learn about classes offered at their zoned high school as well as make preliminary choices for elective courses. The registration card will come home with them to review with families before making official choices March 3-7.
Students will “accept” teacher recommendations and choose electives as well as alternates during registration at school. Registration will take place March 3rd-7th.
Course request letters will be sent home with students at the end of March for parents to sign and return to League if satisfied with courses. These will list the courses your student has requested; this letter is not a finalized list of classes your student will take next year.
