All State Audition Information

FOR STUDENTS:

• All State Auditions will be held the week of November 3-7. Exact day and times are TBD. 

• Rehearsals for All State will take place at 8 AM every Wednesday beginning 8/27/24 

  • Students who are auditioning will need to join the All State Google Classroom. Code: jmzzphk

  • The audition fee is $20 per student and can be paid via My School Bucks. Payments are due by September 17th. 

• See Mrs. Fernandes for a Morning Pass for your ID if you would like to participate in rehearsals. 

• Preparation Info:

  • Students are expected to be committed to preparing for the All State Audition. If a students misses more than 4 morning rehearsals without at least a day's notice they will not be permitted to audition and will not be issued a refund.

• Audition Info:

  • Students will prepare, with the help of Mrs. Fernandes, the piece Alleluia by Pergolesi. Students will also be expected to sight-sing an eight measure exercise. 

  • Auditions are done blind and live. Students sing solo with an accompaniment track for their prepared piece and a cappella for their sight singing. 

  • Scores are usually received within one week of auditions. Qualifying scores differ each year based on overall audition performances. 

FOR PARENTS

• Students who pay the registration fee are not committed to audition. However, students who do not submit their fee by September 17th will not be permitted to audition in November. 

• Audition will take place most likely during the school day. Transportation will be provided. 

• Students who are accepted into All State are required to participate. All State Weekend is February 26-28,  2026.

• *** All State Honor Choir is an absolutely wonderful and enriching musical experience for high school students. It is important that students who sign up are committed to prepare to the best of their ability and put their best foot forward for the audition. Please encourage your student to only sign up if they are willing to commit to the rehearsal schedule that has been put in place.
