· Review vocabulary every day for at least 15 minutes.
· Use Quizlet or similar site to review vocabulary, make sure to use the writing option to practice spelling.
· Write the vocabulary words multiple time or in pyramid form to memorize the spelling. The actual writing will help you retain the information longer.
· Show up for tutoring either by the Spanish National Honors Society.
· My tutoring times will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays before and after school.
· Have a friend or parent say the word in English and you write it in Spanish.
· Create a ladder: two columns, English on one side, Spanish translation on the other side. Have someone say the word in English, you say it in Spanish and if you get one wrong, you start over. This is helpful once you know most of the words.
· Create your own flashcards, add a drawing or something that reminds you of the meaning.
· Do your homework!
· Check your grades and make up work immediately. The longer you wait, the lower the grade you are likely to get.
· Ask questions in class.
· Answer questions in class.
· Practice, practice, practice. Use what you have learned every opportunity you have.
