I have taught four-year-old kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. I taught first grade for 19 years at Bryson Elementary. I received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I completed my master's in education from Southern Wesleyan University. My hobbies include collecting children's books and spoiling my Shih Tzu. These early years are so important to me to be sure that students have an excellent foundation. It is exciting to watch children be enthusiastic about learning!

My name is Carolyn Buie, and I am Ms. Sander’s kindergarten aide. I have been a kindergarten aide for over 15 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Before coming to Bryson, I worked as a children’s librarian, taught preschool, and taught 4th grade. I love learning and want to share that joy with your child.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my two boys and my husband. Our family’s favorite activities include boating, swimming, going to the beach, and traveling. During my free time, I love to read, listen to audiobooks, hike, eat dark chocolate, and exercise.
