About Me

Hi Mav students and families! We have an exciting theatre season planned at Mauldin this year. Whether you are new to theatre, a seasoned veteran, or looking to expand your skills, there is a place for you in theatre! Check out the Thespian Club page if you are looking for how to participate in theatre and can't fit it into your schedule!

My educational background includes a B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida. I hold teaching certifications in Theatre, Middle Level ELA and Secondary English. Although I grew up in South Carolina, my family lived in St. Augustine, Florida for many years before settling back in Greenville in 2015. My favorite musical is Les Miserables. I love mysteries, true crime podcasts, British detective shows, coffee, physical comedy, laugh tracks, parodies, dogs, snorkeling, and Broadway show tunes 

Growing up in the small town of Barnwell, SC, my family was very involved with productions at our local community theatre, Circle Theatre. I continue to stay involved with my hometown theatre by running the youth summer camp where we put on a musical in only one week! 

My classroom goal is for every student to have more confidence, enhanced collaboration skills, and better communication tools by the end of the semester. Theatre is a wonderful and FUN vehicle for achieving these goals!
