About The Teacher

Hello! My name is Kristin Brown, and I’m entering my 19th year in education. I’ve spent the last 17 years at Mauldin Middle School, where I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of South Carolina, followed by a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University—though I still proudly cheer for my Gamecocks! I later completed my Doctorate at Converse University.

Teaching middle school is truly my passion, and I’m excited for the opportunity to work with your child this year at Mauldin Middle.

Outside of school, my husband, Josh, and I are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Luke and Marin. We love spending time together exploring parks, visiting the zoo and the Children's Museum, and taking road trips to the beach or the mountains.

I’m a proud Gamecock fan and love spending my Saturdays watching college football—Go GAMECOCKS! On Sundays, you’ll find me cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

I enjoy traveling with my family and have been fortunate to visit many countries. My dream is for our next adventure to take us to either Australia or Greece!
