Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a young girl.  When I was a child, I taught my younger brother how to read, how to ride his bike, and how to study for his tests, which is ultimately when I knew that I wanted to become a teacher.  Before becoming a teacher, I studied at Clemson University and graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  From there I went on to teach second grade in the low-country and made many wonderful memories there.  A few years after that, I received my Master's degree from Arizona State University.

In September my husband and I will celebrate TEN years of marriage, which has gone by so fast!  We have a beautiful daughter named Braelyn, who is such a sweet, funny, determined little girl.  We love her to pieces and she is the best part of our days. Time is going by so fast because this year she will be in first grade at Mauldin. She has been ready for this day for the last year. In July 2020, we welcomed our handsome little boy, Chase.  He definitely completes our family with his sweet and adventurous personality. We also have an adorable dog named Shiloh. Shiloh still acts like a puppy, even though she is about to be twelve years old, and loves to go on adventures! We rescued her from a shelter in Hilton Head and we have enjoyed all of the laughs, as well as love, she has brought us ever since. My husband travels for his job, so we get to travel to different places during the summer, as well as on the weekends in the fall.  Family is incredibly important to me and I like to post pictures of my family throughout the classroom.  I have the sweetest family in the world and I love when they not only come to visit, but when we are able to visit them as well.

I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and eating different types of food.  I also love to bake desserts, such as brownies, cookies, and anything with pumpkin in it!  One thing students will learn when they are in my class is my love for coffee and Starbucks! Even though I have several Starbucks mugs at home, I also love to try different coffee places throughout the city as well.

One thing that everyone should know is that I am in love with anything Disney.  Eight summers ago my husband and I were fortunate enough to go on a Disney Cruise and I did not want to leave! The food was so good and the shows were out of this world! My favorite Disney movie of all time is The Little Mermaid, but I may or may not know all the songs in Frozen as well. My favorite Disney parks are probably Magic Kingdom and Epcot because I like visiting the different countries and I love the exciting rides each park has to offer. We actually just came back from Disney and I look forward to the next time we are able to go back and walk around in Disney Springs (even with all the crowds).

Besides cooking, shopping, and reading, I love to work out with my husband and go on fun hikes.  Each year I try to get him to root for Clemson during our football season, but he is an Ohio State fan at heart! I am beyond excited to begin this school year with you all.  If there is anything that I can help you all with, please feel free to contact me at any time.  I will always do my best to help and if there is a question that I cannot answer, I will search for it.  Let the journey of fourth grade begin! Go tigers!
