Hello! My name is Ashley Konopacke and I love being a Gateway Gator! This will be my 7th year teaching 1st grade and I couldn't be more excited!  

I was born in New York then moved to New Jersey when I was 8 where I met the inspiration (my 3rd grade teacher) that launched my love for teaching. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education at The College of New Jersey. I have 3 brothers (the youngest is 15!) and 1 sister (who just graduated from Ohio State to be a teacher). I moved from New Jersey to South Carolina 10 years ago and fell in love with the south. 

If you see someone really tall decked out in Michigan Wolverines gear, it's most likely my husband! I love spending time with him, our son Easton (you will hear a lot about him!), my bonus son Joey and our two German Sheppard's: Brady and Maize (if you are a Michigan fan you get the reference of their names :). 

Teaching is my passion! I am looking forward to learning about each one of your children and making this year amazing!
