Students studying Education at FIHS complete field-placement practicum experience where students spend a minimum of 60 hours observing and assisting in a classroom at a local school. Students also participate in a minimum of 20 hours of professional development in their chosen field.
Jada Anderson placed 3rd place in the state for Biomedical Health Science at the National Beta Club State Convention!
George Bardis won 1st place at the DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling. He has earned a spot to represent Fountain Inn High School and all of South Carolina at DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held in Atlanta, GA later on in April. George's event had him create a 15 minute sales presentation for a Social Media Influencer Management Company who was selling their services to a local Visitors Bureau to improve hotel occupancy and revenue for local businesses.
Career Exploratory is a freshman class that offers a rotation between Machine Tool, Engineering and Mechatronics. Students explore what each class (and career field) is like so they can choose an area of focus in 10th grade.
