To authenticate a district Chromebook, click on the GCSD Authentication icon (lock icon on the home screen) on the Chromebook. Students will log in using their GCS username and password. They will need to authenticate the Chromebook for 6 hours, and this must be done EVERY DAY.
On days your student physically attends school, he/she may turn in the Chromebook to the media center (library) for repair during Advisory (8:15-8:40 am Monday-Friday). The student will receive a loaner device as long as one is available. Once repaired, the Chromebook will be returned to the school and then returned to the student.
On days when your student is eLearning, he/she may call (864) 355-4357 for assistance with minor issues. If the Chromebook is not functioning properly, families can take the Chromebook to the nearest career center Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm for repair, and a loaner device will be issued. Once repaired, the Chromebook will be returned to the student's home school (Beck Academy) and will be returned to the student in exchange for the loaner Chromebook.
