What is Read 180?
Read 180 is a class designed for students who need to improve and increase their reading ability. The program used is READ 180 by Scholastic. It is designed to meet individual needs in reading and writing skills. In addition, students learn a variety of strategies for both reading and learning.
Rules:
Be on time, on-task, and prepared to learn every day
Personal electronics are a privilege
Respect others by not talking during study time and being sensitive to other’s abilities and learning styles

Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson is a historical fiction novel that tells the story of a 14-year-old girl named Mattie Cook who experiences the 1793 yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia:

It is important to attend school every day!
When a student is absent from any class, it is the student's responsibility to ask teachers for make-up work (they will not remind you!)
Students missing 10 days in any class may not receive credit (in other words, you might fail a class because of absences, even if you are making a passing grade in that class)
Grades:
Weekly grades are obtained by averaging daily time manager/folder grades. Progress Report and Report Card grades are obtained by averaging weekly grades.

D 60-69
F 59 & below
