My name is Kathleen Renee Garrett. I am married to Damon Garrett and have three boys.Â
I have always loved sports and am extremely competitive! In high school and college I played soccer, volleyball, and basketball. I enjoy running on the weekends to clear my head and get rid of extra energy.
I also love art. In my spare time, which does not happen often with three boys and working full time, I enjoy drawing with pencil and charcoal. I enjoy listening to all types of music. I wish I were more musically inclined, but my family was all about athletics!
I graduated from Bob Jones University in 2008. My degree is in English Language Arts, and I LOVE my subject. Literature is such a wonderful way to learn and explore! It is also an excellent way to learn how to express yourself. I am also certified in ESOL instruction and Gifted and Talented instruction. Now I work as MLP instructor to support students who do not speak English as their native language.
I have taught for several years in the private school system. This is my tenth year at Berea High School, and I absolutely love it! I am so excited to be with Berea High School! I cannot wait to get to know all the students that come my way!
