About Me

Welcome to another year at Ellen Woodside! I am so excited to be working with your child this year. This year begins my 19th year of teaching. I taught for 8 years at Mauldin High School (3 in resource and 5 in self-contained) and 6 years at Fisher Middle School.  This will be my sixth year at Ellen Woodside. 

I am originally from Illinois and spent the first half of my life there. My family and I moved to South Carolina in August 2001. I have two brothers and a sister.  I met my husband 17 years ago and we have been married for 11 years. We have one son who will be in third grade this year. 

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and watching TV.  As a family, we enjoy spending time in Kentucky on Lake Cumberland with my husband's family.  We LOVE football and are huge Ohio State fans (go Buckeyes!). 

My goal this year is to help your child be successful and instill a love of learning.  I have a secondary goal of instilling a love of reading in my students :)
