Welcome to another year at Ellen Woodside! I am so excited to be working with your child this year. This year begins my 20th year of teaching. I taught for 8 years at Mauldin High School (3 in resource and 5 in self-contained) and 6 years at Fisher Middle School. This will be my seventh year at Ellen Woodside.
I am originally from Illinois and spent the first half of my life there. My family and I moved to South Carolina in August 2001. I have two brothers and a sister. I met my husband 18 years ago and we have been married for 12 years. We have one son who will be in fourth grade this year.
I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and watching TV. As a family, we enjoy spending time in Kentucky on Lake Cumberland with my husband's family. We LOVE football and are huge Ohio State fans (go Buckeyes!). We are also a baseball family and spend many weekends at my son's baseball tournaments.
My goal this year is to help your child be successful and instill a love of learning. I have a secondary goal of instilling a love of reading in my students :)
