Hello! My name is Kamin Bond, and I am blessed to be joining the Beck Academy 7th Grade Staff as a first-year teacher. Born in Maryland and raised in Charlotte, I have an older brother and an older sister who are 30 and 26 respectively. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 8th grade, so I am VERY excited to begin my journey living out my dream. This past May, I graduated from Anderson University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in Middle School Math. This year, I will be teaching Math 7 and Math 7/8 at Beck. Seeing my students persevere through problem solving and critical thinking,  I always want to instill confidence in them as math can sometimes be scary! Thankfully, teaching expands beyond the four walls of a classroom, as basketball has been another anchor in my life. While I may be retired from the sport officially as a player, I will serving as the MS Boys Basketball Head Coach this season. Whether in the classroom or on the court, I care deeply about positively impacting the next generation. Two interesting facts about me is that I love playing ping pong, and I am obsessed with anything Chipotle.  Anyways,  let's lock in and have an amazing 2023-24 year!
