Welcome to Room 722. My name is Kamin Bond, and I am blessed to be serving as a 3rd-year math teacher at Beck Academy. Born in Maryland and raised in Charlotte, I have an older brother and an older sister who are 32 and 28 respectively. Every day I have the opportunity to come into this school building is a constant reminder that I am living out my dream. Since 8th grade,  I've wanted to become a middle school teacher with the two words, impact and empowerment at the forefront of my vision. In 2023,  I graduated from Anderson University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and minor in math. A random fact about me is that I love Chipotle and Chick Fil A barbeque sauce. 

I will be teaching Math 7 and Math 7/8 this year. Improving throughout the year, building perseverance and math muscles,  taking accountability for your own learning, and battling critical thinking skills are a few stepping stones in a successful education. I give my all to build these skills in my students but most importantly instilling confidence in them along with seeing them as PEOPLE over STUDENTS first. Teaching expands beyond the four walls of a classroom, as basketball has been another anchor in my life. I am entering my 3rd-year as the boys basketball coach. I promise to instill values of responsibility,  positive engagement,  and structure. It has been a blessing creating so many memories at Beck Academy with my students and other fellow teachers here.
