My name is Jeff Sevilla. I'm a certified math teacher from Memphis, TN. I've been teaching math for 6 years now, and my goal as a teacher is to inspire all students to use mathematics to describe the world around them. I emphasize critical thinking and logic, challenging my students daily to explain their reasoning. I am new to Traveler's Rest, but I'm excited to see my new students grow and excel.
One of the most fundamental beliefs I carry with me into the classroom is that every student can learn. I do not take for granted the very unique opportunity I have as an educator to make an impact on any one student. The video below illustrates my take on this belief very well. Enjoy!
