This is my 29th year in education and my 25th year teaching at Lake Forest Elementary. Teaching kindergarten is truly my calling—I am deeply passionate about early childhood education and find great joy in witnessing young children grow, especially as they develop foundational skills in reading, problem-solving, and self-confidence.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Converse College.
My husband and I are proud parents of 21-year-old triplets, who are graduates of Lake Forest Elementary, League Academy, and Wade Hampton High School. They are currently college juniors: Anna Kate is studying advertising at the University of South Carolina, Reid is majoring in marketing at The Citadel, and Brooks is pursuing a biology/pre-med degree at Wofford College. They are, without a doubt, our greatest accomplishment and the light of our lives.

My husband Kevin and I have 5 boys - Chattan (25, Carnegie Mellon U in Pittsburgh), Carey (24, Coastal Carolina U), Campbell (22, College of Charleston) and our twins, Drew and Luke, who attend school in Mauldin and at GTCHS. We also have our "dogter", a sweet doodle named Brooklyn to round out our crazy tribe. In my bits of free time, I love gardening and travel, and like any good Georgia girl, cheering on the Bulldogs!
