About the Teachers

Mrs. Jill Parker

Welcome to kindergarten! I am excited about beginning a great year together, and I cannot wait to get to know you and your child. I have taught for 35 years, and this is my 30th year at Skyland, with 25 of those being in kindergarten. Skyland is an amazing school, and I have been blessed to be a part of this community! I love teaching kindergarten, because my students are so excited about each new learning experience, and they grow so much during this introductory year of their education.

I am married with three daughters, two sons-in-law and 4 beautiful grandchildren!

I look forward to getting to know each of you. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the year and anticipate a great year of learning. It is my desire that we work together this year to ensure that your child has a wonderful year!

Mrs. Wendy Trammell

Hello! My name is Wendy Trammell. I am excited to be working with Mrs. Parker this year as her teaching assistant. My husband, Charlie, and I have two wonderful kids, Jake and Emily. Jake graduated from Blue Ridge High last year, and Emily is a senior this year. I enjoy being outside, playing board games, puzzles, reading, and playing Pickleball with my family.

I cannot wait to meet you and get to know you and your children. It is going to be a GREAT year!
