I'm originally from Lugoff, SC and I earned a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Clemson University.
After getting my Master's degree in paper science and engineering from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology in Atlanta, I worked as a process engineer for a chemical supply company. I traveled all over North America and Europe in that job but it wasn't for me so I decided to come back to South Carolina where I belong and go into teaching. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.
I enjoy gardening, traveling, tending to my animals, and going to Clemson football games in my spare time. I also present the Friday Starry Nights program at the planetarium at Roper Mountain Science Center about once a month which is so much fun! This is my 20th year teaching (all at Eastside) and I am looking forward to another great year!
