RTI is a program designed to help students who qualify in grades K5-5 accelerate their reading abilities as they become proficient readers. Students participate in Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention, (LLI), Reading Horizons, or a Reading Strategies group.
Some of the key characteristics of the intervention program:
provide instruction in reading, writing, and phonics/word study
highly engage students in experiences in which they find success
comprehension of texts
writing strategies
reading fluency
This year I will be working part time. I work with students Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 11:50 am.
