Who Is Mr. Hammond?

I was born in Greenville, SC and attended Travelers Rest High School, from which I graduated in 2005. I still live in Greenville with my wife, Jocelyn and two dogs: Juneau and Charlie. I have both my Bachelor's (2011) and Master's degrees (2014) from Clemson University. After graduating college, I taught chemistry for 2 years at Seneca High School and coached the JV Girls Soccer team. Prior to joining the inaugural staff at Fountain Inn High, I taught Project Lead the Way Engineering at Clinton High School for 7 years, while coaching the Varsity Boys soccer team and the State Championship winning Red Devil Robotics team.

Science and engineering are passions of mine and are something that I am always interested to learn more about. I enjoy learning things, and I love having the opportunity to pass my knowledge on to students who can do great things. In addition to teaching, I coach the very first Boys Soccer team at FIHS. In what little free time I have these days, I enjoy playing and watching sports, messing around in my garage workshop, hiking and being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
