My name is Jaime Lowder. This is my second year teaching at Skyland! I am so excited to be teaching your students this year! This is my 16th year in Greenville County Schools and my 22nd year of teaching overall. Before coming to Skyland, I was a 5th grade teacher at Lake Forest Elementary for 14 years. I have also taught 5 years in Kentucky and 1 year in North Carolina.Â
I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2004. After moving to Kentucky, I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Kentucky in 2008. I recently earned my Gifted and Talented endorsement.
I have been married to my husband, Jeremy, for 22 years. I have one son, Flint. He will be starting his sophomore year in college at Clemson in the fall and hopes to eventually become a veterinarian.
I love to read books of all kinds. I enjoy finding great books to read aloud to our class. I am a fan of fiction and non-fiction. Please let me know your favorites.
I love to do crafts. I enjoy sewing, making jewelry, designing t-shirts and art.
I have a 11 year old Siberian Husky named Rocky and a 8 year old Shorkie named BoBear.
