My name is Jaime Lowder. This is my first year teaching at Skyland! I am so excited to be teaching your students this year! This is my 15th year in Greenville County Schools and my 21st year of teaching overall. Before coming to Skyland, I was a 5th grade teacher at Lake Forest Elementary for 14 years. I have also taught 5 years in Kentucky and 1 year in North Carolina. 

I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2004. After moving to Kentucky, I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Kentucky in 2008. I recently earned my Gifted and Talented endorsement.

I have been married to my husband, Jeremy, for twenty-one years. I have one son, Flint, who just graduated from Blue Ridge High School. He will be starting college at Clemson in the fall and hopes to eventually become a veterinarian.

I love to read books of all kinds. I enjoy finding great books to read aloud to our class. I am a fan of fiction and non-fiction. Please let me know your favorites.
