AP US History

Welcome to APUSH Page!  I have been teaching Advanced Placement United States History since 2005.  I have been part of the College Board Reading since 2007.  I have served as a reader and a table leader.  I enjoy bringing the knowledge I gain there back to the classroom.  I am looking forward to another great year.

The on line textbook used is The American Pageant 14th edition available on course-notes.org website

I also have copies of United States History preparing for the APUSH Exam books available for check out

Each student will receive a copy of The Epic US History Review Book (aka green book) to use in class and to prepare for the College Board Exam in May

My weekly planner is linked to this page so if you are absent, you can see what we are doing in class.

Course Description: AP® U.S. History is a challenging course that is meant to be the equivalent of a freshman college course and can earn students college credit. It is a two-semester survey of American history from the age of exploration and discovery to the present. Solid reading and writing skills, along with a willingness to devote considerable time to homework and study, are necessary to succeed. Emphasis is placed on critical and evaluative thinking skills, essay writing, interpretation of original documents, and historiography.
