Welcome to Preschool at Oakview!

Our classroom will be a second home for your child, filled with love, joy, and lots of learning! The purpose of this classroom is to help your child mature in all areas of development: cognitive, language, motor, self-help, and socialization. The classroom structure is designed around each child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and supported with curriculum and materials to enhance learning and growth.  We hope to share a unique and lasting partnership with your family that will be the foundation of your child's educational experience!

Jenn Roberts, Lead Teacher

I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I have a passion for helping young children achieve their individual potential.  I graduated from Presbyterian College in 2003 with a degree in Special Education, where I focused on children with Autism in the preschool classroom setting.  I then moved to Columbia, SC where I received my Masters and National Board Accreditation in Special Education, while teaching a variety of Preschool Special Education Classes.  My journey as an educator has been rich, and I am so thankful for all the teachers, parents, students, and professional development opportunities that have crossed my path to bring me to where I am today. 2023-2024 marks 17 years of teaching!
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Greenville, SC.  My husband, Ryan, and I have four beautiful children ranging in age from 20 months to 6th grade!  I spend most of my free time caring for my family, and enjoying my friends near and far. I love to be outside, exercising, reading, baking and crafting. And I am so thankful to begin my seventh year at Oakview Elementary School!

Holly Blouse, Assistant Teacher

I am so excited to begin my seventh year working at Oakview in the Preschool Special Ed classroom. I grew up outside of Atlanta, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Child and Family Development. Tyler and I have been married for 23 years and have been blessed with three wonderful children: Nathan just graduated from Clemson and was excited to get a job in the Clemson area, Andrew will be a freshman attending USC and Hope will be a Junior at Riverside High School. I spend my free time reading, exercising, and taking my chocolate lab on lots of walks. I love working at Oakview and look forward to being a part of the lives of the children and their families!

Amy Prince, Assistant Teacher

I am so excited to begin my second year as a Preschool Assistant here at Oakview! Prior to this, I worked as a preschool teacher at Woodruff Road Christian Preschool for 9 years and as a substitute teacher there for 3 years. I thoroughly enjoy helping this age group develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I have my B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from Clemson University.
I am blessed to have been married to my husband, Tommy, for 23 years, and we have two wonderful daughters, Addie and Olivia. Addie is a Sophomore at University of Miami and Olivia is a Freshman at College of Charleston. Our family is also smitten with our 2 dachshunds, Faith and Sparky. In my free time, I enjoy running, working out at the gym, and spending time at the lake.
I am looking forward to bonding with our students, families, and my coworkers. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives!
