I am passionate about helping students develop a love of learning, build a foundation for academic success, and lead students to grow developmentally in all areas. We will learn letters, sounds, language skills, literacy, science, beginning writing, counting, phonemic awareness, fine and gross motor skills, listening and story comprehension all through an inquiry/theme/unit-based approach.
Supplies
*Bookbag – large enough to hold folders and blankets
*Blankets – a small blanket or beach sized towel for rest/quiet time. It should easily fit in the bookbag. Please send it on Mondays, and we will send it home for cleaning on Fridays.
*Clothes – every student needs to bring a change of clothes. Accidents with restroom, drinks, paint, and dirt do happen in 4K. Please send a shirt, pants/shorts, socks, and underwear in a plastic bag to keep at school.
4K Procedures
*Folders – students will have a daily folder. It will have their daily behavior sheets and any school notes. This is also where you can write me notes. Please review the folder and initial each night.
*Attendance – It is important for even young children to arrive on time each day. Daily routines and procedures are important to young children. When students are tardy, they are often missing the early group lessons and what we are working on that day. Students should be in their classrooms by 7:45 am.
Wish List – Student school materials will be provided at school, but we do have a few donations items that would be greatly appreciated.
