Learning from your past can save you heartache in the future.

A Letter from your Teacher…

Hello!

I hope your time here at the high school is rewarding and encouraging. I am excited about being your teacher, and I look forward to getting to know you. I realize high school is an exciting and anxious time in your life. My goal is to help you become successful and achieve your goals.

I want to take a moment and share a little about myself. I was born in Easley, S.C. My parents are divorced, so I lived partly in Easley and Powdersville. I am a graduate of Wren High School. I graduated from North Greenville University with a Bachelor of Arts. I also have two master’s degrees, which include a Master of Arts in History. I am a current Ph.D. student at Liberty University. I have taught students at Getty’s Middle School, Woodmont Middle and was a professor at Tri-County Technical College in their history department.

I have a great family! I absolutely love being a dad! I cannot adequately describe in words the joy I receive from spending time with my family. My wife is a hairstylist, and I am very thankful to have her in my life. I have a few hobbies that I enjoy doing. I love to backpack, and my favorite place to backpack is Linville Gorge, N.C. I also love to travel! I have been fortunate to travel to several countries; Canada, England, Austria, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ecuador, and the Bahamas. My wife and I love to travel and experience new adventures.

I have had to overcome many obstacles in my life. I was born with Muscular Dystrophy, and it is a daily struggle. All of us battle with different struggles in our lives, and I hope you can learn that success and achieving goals is something you can accomplish no matter your obstacles. Sometimes life is not easy. Do not give up. Stay focused. I am here to help you.

I hope you can sense my love for students and my passion for teaching this school year. I am here to help you succeed and reach your goals.

This is going to be a great year!
