Welcome to Eastside. We are so excited to welcome our Eagles back to the nest. I have been a member of Eastside High Faculty since 2001. I grew up in Saluda County, and I am a proud alum of the Saluda High School Tigers.
I received my undergraduate degree from USC-Upstate, where I served in various capacities. Needless to say, I met my husband of twenty-eight years, Stacey Mills, whom I have the pleasure of serving alongside at church and in our surrounding communities.
I have had the opportunity to work in two chemistry-based laboratories found in both Spartanburg and Greenville counties. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to work with young people not only to teach them, but to learn from them as well.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach Botany/Zoology, Biology CP/Honors, Genetics Honors, and Marine Science CP/Honors, all at Eastside High School.
I am the proud mother of three: a Retired Second Lieutenant, a graduate student at NYU, a graduate of the prestigious Spelman College, and a Wildcat of Indiana Wesleyan. Although they did not attend EHS, all three claim Eastside as family.
Recently, I became a member of a precious community by being a two-year Breast Cancer Survivor. I have also served as a Commissioner of The Greenville Housing Authority, and was CHair of the Operations committee for two years. I have had the privilege of being a guest speaker at various churches . It is a pleasure to serve the community in various capacities.
I am excited to be back. We look forward to a great year. We will overcome challenges together.
It's a great day to be an Eastside Eagle.
